Enrollment

Plan your summer schedule now!

MSU students enroll for summer courses like any other semester, whether the courses are offered on MSU’s campus, off-campus, online or abroad. Check with your academic advisor about course selections for your program. For courses off-campus, visit the Schedule of Courses; select “Off Campus” and the region close to you this summer. Courses are taught by MSU faculty/instructors---there is nothing to transfer. Course grades and credits will appear on your MSU transcript.

If you are a guest student, you will need approval from your academic advisor and home institution before taking an MSU course. Visit the MSU Schedule of Courses, select a course(s) in which you would like to enroll. Click on the course number to see the course description.

For information on resources available for person with disabilities, please visit the Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities at www.rcpd.msu.edu/.

Instructions for Enrollment

Registration

Becoming Registered!

Once you have enrolled for your classes, a registration bill will be available electronically on STUINFO. An email will be sent to your university-provided email address whenever a new bill has been produced. Please be sure to activate your university-provided email account and monitor it frequently for notice of a new billing statement. Failure to monitor your email account for notice of a new bill is NOT sufficient reason for not making payments on time. Payment can be made online or mailed. Depending on the time of enrollment, a deferred payment plan may be available. In order to become registered, payment of at least the "Minimum Amount Due" must be made by the due date. NOTE: if your "Minimum Amount Due" is $0.00 you MUST confirm your attendance in STUINFO under the "Confirm Attendance" menu item. Failure to meet these requirements will result in your being disenrolled - you will lose all the courses in which you enrolled. If there are any "HOLDS" noted on your Registration Billing Statement, you must resolve these prior to the payment due date indicated on the bill in order to become registered. Failure to resolve all listed holds will result in your being disenrolled. (See HOLDS section in STUINFO for more information).

To FINALIZE Your Registration
1. Clear any holds you may have.
2. Confirm your attendance in STUINFO if you have a zero balance.
3. PAY at least the Minimum Amount Due.

Note: Failure to pay at least the minimum due may result in YOUR COURSES BEING DROPPED.
